You may be aware that Tropic Petroleum was forced to close the doors on the Caltex Ayr service station permanently on 16 March 2022 after 30 years of operation.

This site’s position allowed for a very convenient lubes store location for our Burdekin Clients - Especially during the crushing season.

As soon as Tropic Petroleum was informed about this closure, we started looking for a lubricant agent that could offer the same great service and convenient location in the Burdekin that Tropic has been able to offer over the last 30 years operating out of the Caltex Ayr Service Station.

In that regard, I would like to welcome Klyde and Ashton of Suds Automotive to the Tropic Petroleum Lubricants Team.

Suds Automotive has come onboard as an agent for Tropic Petroleum Lubricants. This means, from the 22nd of June 2022, Tropic Account customers will be able to drop into Suds Automotive for all their lubricant needs and charge these lubricants to their Tropic Petroleum Account the same as they did at our Caltex Ayr service station.

Operating in the Burdekin since 2008 and Klyde and Ashton have that can do attitude that has been the backbone of building this business to the successful one stop shop that it is today, and we are really pleased to be working with Suds Automotive.
